101 things to do in 1001 days

2 Jun

This is today’s assignment for the SITS Girls 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge. I knew that the second day’s task would be to compile a list and I already had an idea of what I was going to publish. Although it does NOT fit the SITS31DBBB categories (it’s more than 15 items long, it’s not ordered in a logical way, it’s not a series), but when I posted a picture in my “How I use my Filofax”-post and on Flickr, many of you wanted to know more about the list. It’s my

101 things to do in 1001 days

I started this list yesterday, June 1, 2011. As I already mentioned, I’m moving across the Atlantic in a few weeks and practically starting a new life in Florida, continuing my doctoral studies. I think a list like this could make this experience more fun and more exciting. I’m generally a person who likes to try new things. But having them in a list (you know how I love lists) just makes it official and will help me to stick with it. It’s going to be a long way (that’s what I was trying to symbolize with the picture at the top, which was taken in Ronda, Spain).

    Hi Kathiza,

Nice to finally get to read your list. Pretty tall order in some regards!

Yet very inspiring to start something similar of my own. I partially had such a list, but mainly in my head. I never wrote it down.

And the way it looks right now, I am going to tick off a big one this August. I have always been dreaming about a trip to Scotland, Lochs, Glens, distilleries, cozy pubs, the highlands. The whole lot. My only problem is to get someone over to come with me, as I hate to go on holiday alone.

Keep checking off this list, I’m anxious to read more about you. Until now, we seem to share quite a few things. Kindred spirits, if I may be frank.

    Cheers,

    Rene

Yes, it’s pretty far fetched. I don’t know if I’ll manage to write a book. Or if I have the courage to get a tattoo. All the other things are doable I think… Okay, the 100 books could be difficult too… unless scientific books count as well ;-)

That’s a great list! I’ve seen a few people do these – I just don’t know if I have the attention span for it! LOL

I’d start with make a cheesecake.:)

    • Kathiza June 4, 2011 at 10:28 pm #

I already made cheescakes at several occasions. I love them. You see I love eating. I have to lose a little weight, but it’s very hard for me since I really enjoy good food.
Anyway: This list does not only consist of things I’ve never done. I have to say this because I got a message telling me that I might wanna start waxing if I move to Florida (I had to laugh and was embarrassed at the same time, because I thought people would imagine me as a female Bigfoot ;-) )

Got it. Skip the cheesecake if you’re dieting you know the light versions never taste the same.

      • Kathiza June 4, 2011 at 10:37 pm #

I know they don’t. And even the light versions have way too many calories for someone who is supposed to lose weight :-(

I like #10. I had never thought of that before.

    Hi Kathiza!
I wanted to stop by and say “hi” to all of our 31 day challenge ladies! I love hosting this as it is such a wonderful way to meet so many ladies who each have amazing and different stories to share! That is some kinda amazing list! Ya know I don’t actually have a “bucket list” but I’m starting to think I really need to write one!
